Born in Seoul, Korea, Nam
Suk Hoon learned to play
piano as a child and began
performing as a pianist
until
he was a young adult. By the
age of 20, Nam was a
famous Korean singer with a
voice and charisma
similar to
Elvis. After earning his
seventh degree black belt in
his early thirties, Nam starred
in over 100 martial arts
movies taking the stage
name
of James Nam. His film
career developed into movie
directing, including the
ever-
popular “Five Fingers of
Death”.
Following his move to
California, James Nam
learned the business of
real
estate as a land investor with
Victor Valley Land Group, but
missed working with his
creative talents. While
using
his childhood love of drawing,
James Nam began to paint on
Chinese rice paper called
shuen. His paintings reflect a
natural happiness and his
unique style flows to give us a
pleasant vision of how James
Nam savors life.
